Ron Staker

Ron has had first hand experience of all the ruggedness and beauty this area of the country has to offer.  Discovering his interest in recreating that beauty, at a young age, led him to enroll in summer art classes and later in high school a talent emerged worth pursuing.
After attending three different universities with art/painting programs, he finished his higher education with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.  That education laid the foundation that would grow over the years and eventually lead him to pursue his love of painting landscapes, wildlife and the proud Native American.
Ron's approach to painting is to suggest detail rather than creating a detailed interpretation of his subject. He likes to use rich tertiary colors with meaningful brush strokes to create the images that he pursues.
"If the viewer of my work comes away with the feeling that an artist has been there, then I have achieved my goal."
